My Characters
My relationship to narrative is not academic or abstract. It has been shaped through more than fourteen years of working inside character-led environments, immersive experiences, and story-driven worlds.
Working in character is not something I learned as a tool, it is something I lived as an operating reality. It trained my perception in a way few disciplines do: to read emotional shifts, resistance, attention, and connection in real time, across age groups, cultures, and contexts.
This experience fundamentally shaped how I understand story, not as performance, but as relationship.
I have spent years living and working across different places, cultures, and communities, observing how people relate to story, ritual, play, and meaning when they are not being marketed to. This way of living has functioned as field research.
It has given me a deep respect for:
Local culture and history
The emotional rhythms of place
How meaning is shaped differently across environments
What feels authentic versus imposed
Narrative architecture, when done well, must respond to these subtleties. It cannot be designed in isolation from lived context.
I do not believe narrative can be handed off without consequence.
Meaning degrades when it is copied, diluted, or removed from its original context. For this reason, I work through authorship rather than delegation, and through stewardship rather than installation.
This approach ensures that narrative coherence is protected as a brand or place grows, rather than becoming fragmented over time.
